"My greatest joy comes from seeing children reach their potential through music and the arts." - Margaret
Our inclusive mission is at the heart of our vision.
Margaret’s Music was created in 2014 by Margaret Omoniyi, responding to the need for excellent music teaching in Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in schools.
Margaret’s Music also runs musicianship classes for pre-school children and their families, a piano school, a LAMDA accredited drama course and The South London Songsters. In the holidays, Margaret also runs holiday camps in Nunhead, using well-known musicals to encourage children to develop their musicianship, acting and design skills.

The journey with singing, music and drama starts early with Margaret’s Music. Margaret’s own journey into music was inspired by a teacher who believed in her and showed her a path when she was in primary school. Margaret strives to gift the children she works with in a similar way so they too can enjoy a fulfilling career in music.
We Believe In Young People
Engaging music tuition for individuals, groups and schools; we run a youth choir, a piano school,
a drama course and holiday music camps. Margaret has given access to music to a multitude of young people. Many of them would not have had access to music otherwise or would not have been able to afford expensive private tuition. Some of Margaret’s former students now work at Margaret’s Music.
We Take Part
Margaret has brought together an impressive team of gifted individuals and talented partners to help deliver a variety of music-based activities which greatly enrich the communities they serve. We are part of a wonderful community – get in touch if you’d like to collaborate!

“We are passionate about what we do and our aim now is to make our classes and provision as accessible as possible for families from all backgrounds and all economic groups so that all our pupils are a true representation of the community we serve which is primarily Peckham, Nunhead and Bermondsey.” – Margaret
